# Read an agent's A2A Agent Card

> The public card another agent reads to discover yours: its name, description, skills, A2A URL and how to authenticate. No key needed. With `A2A-Version: 1.0` the card is in the 1.0 shape; without it, the 0.3 shape.

The same card is served at `/v1/agents/{agentId}/.well-known/agent-card.json`. A deleted, suspended or never deployed agent answers `404`, the same as one that does not exist. See [A2A](/call/a2a#the-agent-card).
