# Sign in and accounts

> Sign up with email and a password or with GitHub, verify your email address, and reset a password.

## Sign up

Go to [https://app.onecortex.io](https://app.onecortex.io) and sign up with:

* **Email and a password.** The password is 12 to 128 characters, with no other rules.
* **GitHub.** Onecortex reads your verified primary email address from GitHub, and nothing else about your account.

During the private beta, only invited addresses can sign up. See [The private beta](/organizations/private-beta).

## Verify your email

If you signed up with email, Onecortex sends a verification link, valid for 24 hours. Until you open it you can sign in, look around and invite people, but not create, deploy, change or delete agents or their configuration: `Verify your email address before creating an agent. We sent a link to <address>.` Ask for a new link from the dashboard if it expired.

An account made with GitHub is verified already.

## Reset a password

On the sign in page, choose to reset your password and enter your email address. The link is valid for one hour. Resetting signs you out on every device.

## Sessions

A sign in lasts 30 days on that browser, then asks again.
