The agent’s Chat tab is a conversation with your deployed agent, in the dashboard, with no key and no code. Use it to try a new version, reproduce a report, or show someone what the agent does.

It is a real call

Each message goes to the same endpoint and the same code path as a call from your app, signed in as you rather than with an API key. What you see is what a caller gets: the same version, the same events, the same errors. Every message in a chat uses the chat’s session, so the conversation reaches the same running instance of your agent. See Sessions.

What it shows

  • The reply, streamed as it is written.
  • Each tool call, with its arguments and its result.
  • Each step, as a divider.
  • The version that answered, how long it took, and the time to its first token.
  • An error, if the run failed, with its message.

Chats

Chats are kept, listed by date, and can be renamed and deleted. Each agent keeps up to 50 chats. A message can be up to 200,000 characters. Chats are saved in Onecortex, unlike calls from your own app. Delete a chat when you no longer need it. See Data and retention.
